Mayor Eric Adams is ramping up a program to improve wellness in public housing projects by recruiting health coaches to work with residents.
The program offers screening, workshops, and assistance with chronic diseases, mental health, nutrition, and fitness.
The expansion of the program is being funded through grants and is based on the success of a trial in Harlem. [ more ]
